About Isaac T. Watson Foundation

Guided by the principles of equity, pluralism, and democracy, the Isaac T. Watson Foundation champions the inherent worth and potential of every individual, striving to eliminate systemic barriers and cultivate communities where all can achieve equal status, opportunity, and participation.

The Isaac T. Watson Foundation is driven by a vision of true democracy, humanitarianism, and justice in America and beyond. We are dedicated to the radical transformation of oppressive systems and implicit bias, answering a call to action to create pathways to equality, opportunity, and participation for all marginalized individuals. Through empowering resources, targeted interventions, and a steadfast commitment to anti-racism and data-driven accountability, we boldly address educational disparities, disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline, and re-engage those released from incarceration, mitigating recidivism.

Isaac T. Watson is and forever will be a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend to his surviving community. Born in 1991, Isaac lived an abundant life before his untimely death in 2019. Because of the life lessons learned from his early mistakes (or perhaps in spite of them), he committed himself to improving his circumstances and brought joy to all those lucky enough to meet him.

This Foundation was established to continue spreading his love.
